 Teaching
Assistants (CUPE 3902 Unit 1)
A number of Teaching Assistant positions are available in the department. These paid positions are open only to University of Toronto Students who have demonstrated a sound knowledge of the relevant subject matter and who have the ability to impart that knowledge to other students.
All contracts are by session and extend for four months each as per the
length of the session.
JOB POSTINGS:
Unexpected vacancies may arise at anytime during the
Academic Year.
Hiring Criteria includes, but is not limited to, emphasis on teaching excellence,
ability to teach course material, academic qualifications, and past teaching
experience.
Pay Rates are in accordance with Article 24 CUPE Local 3902
Collective Agreement.
Decisions for
appointments are usually made a few weeks before the
start of each semester.
Final availability of positions is contingent upon
course enrolment numbers and budgetary considerations.
Hiring
will
be governed by the regulations outline in
the CUPE Local 3902 Collective Agreement.
