Applications
can be submitted at anytime during the academic year.
If the application is received after the deadline
for a posted position, the application will be added to
the applicant pool. This applicant pool will receive e-mail
notifications of job opportunities in the Department for
twelve (12) months since the date of submitting the application.
Please note that when a new job is posted, another application
with an updated
CV would be required.
These paid positions are open to applicants who have
sound knowledge of the relevant subject
matter and who have the ability to impart that
knowledge to the students. All contracts are by
session and extend for four months each as per the length
of each session.
Hiring Criteria for these positions includes but are not limited to,
academic qualifications, mastery of the subject matter, Teaching
excellence and past teaching experience. Preference in hiring will be
given to Sessional Lecturers currently appointed at the University of
Toronto. It is understood that the posted position may or may not be
filled at the discretion of the department, or may ultimately be filled by
an appointed or retired faculty member. This is pursuant to Article 14 of
the CUPE Local 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement. These positions are
tentative, pending final course determinations and enrolment.
