Help with spreadsheet and database
- if you are trying to download files using Internet Explorer,
it may try to use a .zip file extension. On the save window,
change the "File name" value to "list.ods" and the "Save as type"
value to "All Files".
-
tutorial slides and examples
- The various StarOffice software packages include Help menus
that you can use if you're having trouble.
- Some further explanation for the
IF function.
- submit A4 using Blackboard --
you need a valid UTORid and password
Medical Documentation
- As noted in the Course Outline, if you are unable to complete
an assignment or if you miss the midterm test due to major illness
or other circumstances completely outside of your control, have
your doctor complete an official
UTSC Medical Certificate and submit it to your instructor as
soon as possible.
- It is very important that you notify your instructor as soon as
possible, if you find yourself in such a situation. It is always
easier to resolve situations earlier, rather than later.
Assignment Re-Mark Request
- If you feel that there has been a mistake in the marking of one
of your assignments, you MUST complete an assignment re-mark request form.
- When completing this form, you must be very clear and concise;
if we can't understand what you are asking for, we won't be able
to re-mark your assignment.
- Attach your completed form to a printout of your assignment,
and to your TA's marking sheet. Give all of these things to your TA.
- Your TA will return the form to you either with a revised mark or
with an explanation as to why the original mark stands. Keep in mind
that the new mark may be higher or lower than the original mark,
depending on the outcome of a complete re-mark of your assignment.
- If you are not satisfied with your teaching assistant's re-mark,
please give the assigment re-mark request form, with your printout
and TA's marking sheet still attached, to your instructor.
Once your instructor has examined the assignment, she may change
your mark, or she may hold a meeting with you and your TA to
resolve the dispute.
Notes:
- If an assignment re-mark form has not been completed, we reserve
the right to not re-mark your assignment.
- If your request was more than 2 weeks after the assignment was
returned, it will be rejected.
- Assignment re-marks will not be discussed via email.
